Practical AI skills, personal guidance, and real projects that help young people take their next step into work, education, or entrepreneurship.
We're inviting Ford Family Foundation to bring a supported pathway — from learning to meaningful work — to the rural communities you serve.
Young people in rural Oregon and Siskiyou County, California face limited local pathways into meaningful work, education, or entrepreneurship.
AI skills training paired with applied projects gives participants something concrete to show — and a clearer sense of what's possible for them.
When young people can build a future locally, communities grow stronger. This program is designed to keep talent home.
Skills grow stronger when learners can see possibilities for themselves. We pair practical training with support for confidence, overwhelm, and taking the next manageable step.
Participants explore local needs, practice collaboration, and create work that contributes to their communities.
Local partners would recruit and support participants; Cre8ive Origins would provide instruction, coaching, and guided projects.
Build a portfolio that shows practical capability — for a next step into work, further education, or entrepreneurship.
"It's a gift to be part of someone's journey."
— Shannon McGivney, Founder, Cre8ive Origins
Early results from two Workforce Central cohorts: participants have built courses, websites, an app, an ebook, and consulting ventures — some already making sales.
Final pricing and what each option includes will be agreed before enrollment. Stipends and dual credit are being explored, not guaranteed.
We're exploring complementary funding sources to support participant access, including workforce and economic development funding, education partners, corporate sponsorships, tribal and community organizations, and multi-affiliate shared cohorts.
Cohort experience and partner feedback shape how the program develops. Each cohort informs the next.
Facilitator training and local licensing are in development for summer 2027 at the earliest, subject to readiness.
We welcome input on pacing, accessibility, and support needs. The model includes:
A private space for participants to share projects and build connections across regions.
Instructors share resources and strengthen delivery with founder check-ins.
Work sessions with Shannon to move projects forward and recognize progress.
Guided AI software with 7 coworker roles. A program-specific AI assistant is planned, subject to development and testing.
Together, we can identify a local delivery partner, define participant support, and agree on the outcomes and funding needed to test the model. We're focused on rural communities in Oregon and Siskiyou County, California.
These are proposed measures, not achieved results.
Improve processes and build AI workflows.
Research audiences, create campaigns, support lead tracking.
Produce graphics, AI videos, and digital content.
Build websites and work with digital course delivery.
Develop courses, ebooks, templates, and educational resources.
Optional supporting material: an overview of the Cre8ive Origins approach.
The following cohort windows are proposed for planning purposes only. Dates, partners, and participant counts are subject to agreement.
A separate program training local entrepreneurs to open childcare businesses in rural Oregon's childcare deserts. Same philosophy as the Youth AI Accelerator. Currently in development — not yet operational.
Graduates of AI Professional Foundations who apply and meet participation standards. Capacity and available funding will also be factors.
A computer and reliable internet connection. A technology fee covers access to AI tools used in the program.
Both are being explored. Neither is currently guaranteed.
